      Pros

      Emterra is not just about hauling your recycling away from the curb; that’s step one and there is more to it than that. Emterra is about making sure your recycling is actually recycled. I like that, it is important for me to work in an organization that aligns with my personal values. And work is what you make of it. If you want to go to work every day, work hard and know that you are actually making a difference, than this is place for you!

      It's a big, small company and there is lots to do. No reason to ever be bored!

      Pros

      - Good culture, staff is very friendly - Manager defends employees from corporate bashing

      Cons

      - All staff are required to signed a non-compete regardless if entry level position or management (WM or Progressive does not have this requirement) - Salary is low compared to other waste management companies - TERRIBLE BENEFITS (currently at 50%) - Company not willing to spend any money, currently sitting on a fold out chair - Outdated software - Lack of communication from corporate - IT is terrible

      Pros

      It is a very friendly and fun environment with an excellent upper management team. It is a nice and casual environment.

      Cons

      There aren't too many cons, some of the policies surrounding accounting and purchasing are a little convoluted and the company is split into sides and lack a whole feel.
