Pros

A handful of decent coworkers tried to survive the chaos. One Encore‑side manager who actually defended us before being crushed by their own leadership.

Cons

Project management by Excel sheets — this company calls itself a PM organization but refuses to use actual PM tools. Someone built a real tracker, and leadership couldn’t find five minutes to review it. Micromanagement Olympics — Encore micromanages you, the client micromanages you, and somehow both sides still have no idea what’s going on. Process changes for sport — workflows change weekly, usually for no reason other than someone in management got bored. “You’re doing a good job; now do three more roles” — the unofficial company slogan. Raises are a slap in the face — took 1.5 years to hand out “increases” that wouldn’t cover a tank of gas. No growth, no ladder, no future — unless you count burnout as a career path. $25 DoorDash gift cards as “annual bonuses.” Because nothing says “we value you” like a single lukewarm lunch. Management openly admits employees are disposable — when warned about turnover, upper management literally said, “We’ll just train more people.” Translation: you are replaceable, and they don’t care. Public humiliation as a management style — managers correct you in front of the client instead of speaking to you privately. Professionalism is optional here.
