I have been working at Everbridge full-time

    Pros

Kick*ss Product - everyone is proud to work here. It's an amazing product.
People - they've got hiring down...no mean bullies or big egos are allowed in
Flexibility - super accommodating with your needs
Passion - people here are serious about their work and take great pride in it...if you're not pulling your weight of the work, they'll let you know in a clear way that you can do better for yourself and others.
Manic Mondays, Tastey Tuesdays, Thirsty Thursdays are all weekly food celebrations with the team.
Free gym access and game room.
Snacks, drinks and groceries in the communal fridge.
    Too many to list...

    Cons

Diversity is lacking although there are some visible efforts geared towards improvement in this area.

    Advice to Management

"You can't be what you can't see." - Marian Wright Edelman
Would love to see a greater focus on diversity from the top.

I worked at Everbridge full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Products, Great US team view of the business. The global vision of the company is good!
Some very good individuals in Colchester who are working hard to make the difference but one hand cant clap... it is a full team effort.

    Cons

    - An unpleasant environment in the Colchester office due to old inherited culture but to be fair some employees are amazing… You can’t say a joke in Colchester...
    - There is no presence of HR in the UK...
    - The recruitment team are in-house/US based, will sell you lot of crap and fake promises. They can sell you another job and shock you with the reality later...
    - There is no presence for medium-tier management, it does not exist...
    - Senior management doesn't listen to the advice of the non-existing mid. The GM in Colchester should be supported not underminded.
    - (Some People) will mock your accent, origin.... even as a joke

    Advice to Management

    - Transfer the Everbridge-US/Windsor culture to the Colchester office
    - Employ an independent HR representative who can listen, discipline, protect an employee and keep conversations confidential.
-Stop selling people fake jobs with fake descriptions... it is bad and it makes Employees unhappy... it is also illegal!
    - Employ/promote the right people in the right positions...
    - Create a mid-management tier, appreciate it as it helps...
    - Re-organize the company structure, get a third-party company to reshape and define the roles and UK strategy.
    - Increase sales individuals commission.
    - Fill the gaps in the PS teams in terms of employment... they have a brilliant mgr but with current team members count it is hard to deliver.
    - Introduce a happy culture and give your employees a choice and a say.
    - Invest in skillful people, dont lose the skill.
    - Hire more BDRs... great manager again...
    - You have great products with super potential, you have the basics just work on your UK management structure and it will get better. You have some great people, apply the US experience in the UK and it will work!
    - BTW, remote working is normal in the 21st century.
    - Hopefully, the new EMEA president will make an impact...

Finally, this review does not mean that EB is a bad company and it is meant to be constructive and not targeting any individuals. Working on the cons will definitley help.

I have been working at Everbridge full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This is my second spell at Everbridge and the main reason for returning is the stellar management team that know how to manage their staff with respect, balance, understanding and drive. Such a great place to work. As an employee I am treated with respect whilst provided with the training and skills I require to succeed. All this is done whilst having a tremendous amount of fun and the atmosphere is most definitely geared towards being a team.

    Cons

None I can think of. Truly a unique company that I'm very proud to be a part of again.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing, this is a unique company and you should be very proud of what has been built and continues to grow.

I have been working at Everbridge full-time

    Pros

Great product, lots of strings to the bow. Exciting industry very niche with a different sale almost every time.

    Cons

Poor EMEA management, hostile environment where employees are worked into the ground and frowned upon if emails and calls from management are not answered at all hours. At times can be seen to be run like a dictatorship.

Lots of internal politics and favouritism, management more concerned with getting one up on each other than actually helping others.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on staff enjoyment, highlight areas where staff can grow. Offer jobs internally, do not always hire friends or promote the current 'Flavour of the month'.

    Less bickering and more helping.

    Pros

A great place to work if you want to be part of a winning team, fast paced, opportunities to develop and work with like minded people.

    Cons

So much going on, is a challenge if you're not used to a work environment with opportunities where you can make a difference.

    Advice to Management

    Keep on the opportunities

I worked at Everbridge full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everbridge US is a good company, a lot of security, some nice people and company rewards, also as the global leader in the market.

    Cons

Everbridge US is a good company, but the UK office is toxic, cubical laidout and heavily structured. Pyramid structure which is very hard to get ahead in.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the cubicals and start treating employees as people. HR is especially bad.

    Pros

The Everbridge solutions have a real impact on keeping people safe in the real world and it's easy to get behind the product with real enthusiasm, at a time when the world is unpredictable. Customers see real value in the products. The company is in a growth phase, making investment in people, partnerships and acquisitions. Everyone in the company wants you to succeed and managers at all levels take an interest in the individual. I've found it to be a very supportive culture. It feels like a startup with the backing of an established US parent, the energy is good and it's great to see new people joining and contributing to the cultural shift.

    Cons

No real negatives in my view.

    Advice to Management

Execute on the clear and focused plans that are in place, as a foundation for structured growth.

    Pros

Good people with the right attitude. Fast paced environment with plenty to keep you occupied and interested, if you chose to be.
A product and service that does what it says and helps people and business.
A feel good service / product which helps you feel proud of where you work.
A company with strong ethics and morals and heading in the right direction.

    Cons

So much going on that it sometimes difficult to keep pace.

    Advice to Management

Keep going in the same direction - expand and growing, adding value to communities and companies.
