Pros
They have been able to maintain some very good people. They tend to say the right things. The benefits are far above average. If you have a good manager, you're probably shielded from a lot.
Cons
Inept HR department Execs are too detached from the actual departments. Barely competitive pay if you aren't part of the C-Suite. They tend to not follow their external mission statements internally. They have consistently requested employees perform duties above their grade to "show that they can do the job". They try to be equitable by running salary studies every so often, but then make whatever decisions they feel like they want to make, often contrary to the study.
