Pros

EvolveMKD is one of the few places I’ve worked where the credo, Be Kind Don’t Suck, means something. These values guide business decisions and culture, and it really shows. Leadership cares not only about their direct reports' work/career trajectory but also their genuine well-being. High performers are recognized and rewarded here as the agency is not bogged down by bureaucracy. Your growth path is not pre-determined by staying in a position for X amount of time and you’re rewarded in real time for hard work. You forge your own path. The agency also has top-notch and unique benefits, especially considering the company’s size. There are competitive health insurance plan options, 401k matching, and health and wellness reimbursement. If you're driven, hard working, and want to grow in a place that recognizes your contributions, EvolveMKD is a great place to start or build your career.

Cons

The fast-paced nature of agency life/client services may not be for everyone and is a definite learning curve. Things move quickly and you have to keep up. However, once you get used to it, it really sharpens your time management and prioritization skills.

Pros

EvolveMKD is a special place filled with smart, driven, and hardworking people. Many of the negative reviews about the workplace and leadership feel unfair and, in my view, stem from a lack of accountability or misalignment with the agency’s expectations. Meg, the founder and CEO, leads with intention, respect, kindness (which I've learned is difference than niceness) and clarity…qualities that are often mistaken for being overly direct, but are ultimately rooted in fairness and a commitment to excellence. She has built this agency from the ground up and does what’s necessary to move it forward, which is something I respect. Starting my career at Evolve, I always felt that my voice mattered. I gained hands-on experience across a range of industries, had meaningful client exposure early on, and was trusted with real responsibility. It’s a fast-paced environment where you’re expected to think critically, multitask effectively, and stay solution-oriented. If you thrive in that kind of setting, it’s incredibly rewarding. The team genuinely feels like a family, and there’s a shared drive to be the best. If you want to work alongside people who hold themselves and each other to a high standard, this is a great place to be.

Cons

At times, the workload can feel intense and demanding. Additionally, as a smaller agency, opportunities to build a broader external network may be more limited compared to bigger companies.

Pros

Not much oversight or organization, which offers junior staffers a chance to get things wrong without much backlash and gives 'go-getters' a chance to forge their own path.

Cons

A CEO who tells staff during a company wide meeting that 'the worst part of running a company is dealing with the employees' should consider pivoting to freelance work. EMKD senior leaders don't have recent agency experience and don't realize how behind they are when it comes to basic organization, PR tools, media planning, outreach techniques, etc. Many of the mid/junior level staff were less than welcoming to new hires and did not accept feedback without tears and/or complaints. HR is ineffective at changing the big picture culture because they choose to inflate the reoccurring individual 'mean girl' issues with meetings that often just make things worse. The company also claims to be a healthcare agency but seems to only have true expertise in digital, social media and beauty.
