Pros

If you’re looking for a job for the time being or need a place of employment that does not do drug tests or background checks, this would be a good place to start. Weekly paychecks. They just set up direct deposit. If you’re noticed by management and become one of their favorites you could go places (like customer service or a different program than what you start on) or at least be put on a section of a program that always makes commission. Coworkers are helpful and friendly.

Cons

When hired at Expivia Marketing I looked at these reviews myself, and immediately could tell that something was off by how positive they were (because let’s face it, this is a call center and to have all five stars without even a handful of mediocre reviews was concerning) however, I believed them and was excited to start... Imagine how everything clicked when during a week in May we were told that if our whole team left positive reviews, we would be able to leave early on Friday. When it was pointed out to the manager by someone that this was bribing and unethical along with the fact that if one person did not leave a great review, no one on the team could go home early, the employee was told simply to “not participate” if they felt the company did not deserve a five star review, and the rules were changed to be individual instead of teams. The dress code is extremely rigid for a place where even if clients come in, they look around the room for five minutes. Business casual at $9.25/9.75 an hour is incredibly weird, especially since you’re seen by no one but your coworkers. Nylons/pantyhose required if you wear dresses above the ankle, no pants other than dress pants and they must be full length, must wear socks even if you have flats or sandals on, no unnaturally colored hair, and no sleeveless tops without a cardigan/sweater (even though this rule is regularly broken by the manager who enforces the dress code herself.) People do not clean up after themselves in the bathroom, and there’s always issues with cleanliness and stenches with various people in the building. There is always someone using drugs at work, it’s seen constantly— in both upper management and regular employees. If you like a drug free work place, this is not the job for you. Before direct deposit was set up for most employees, it was well known that if you were sick Thursday or Friday (paydays) you could not come pick up your check, even with a doctors excuse— at the very least, they would give you a hard time. It was mostly dependent on how they felt that day it would seem. This was used as a punishment for not coming to work, as they would withhold your check and mail it to you, usually getting there on Wednesday of next week. Good employees who make sales and have been there for months-years are made to stay in the same position even if they ask to be moved to inbound instead of outbound. Other employees stay on select outbound programs every day, where most others would be made to switch between them— these select programs have less salespeople and so those employees get tons of sales and are treated differently because of it. The Facebook page often has misleading information about games played in the outbound building, such as water pong (which never happened) or the punch out game (which only had prizes, no “surprises” like shaving cream.)

Thank you for the review! We do ask every employee to post a review of the organization. We want to incent reviews so we do give extra break time if you do post a review. We don't tell anyone what to write as that is totally up to each employee. Thanks for your concern with that! We have a dress code, that is correct. This is something we think makes us a little different. We understand that in today's society that is it not the norm, that is why we like it. Water pong will be happening as we did last year, with the new programs that came in and the training involved it took the majority of the time which delayed it. We are glad that you liked that game! Seems you have some idea for games to play in the center. We would love to hear more of those suggestions. Also if you see anything that is against policy going on, we ask that you please bring it up to HR so that we can handle it ASAP. As you know we have cameras in all three centers. As for progression. Every single supervisor and management trainee at Expvia has come from in house. Every single agent on our QA team has come from in house. Every single client services manager has come from in house. We progress all associates that meet the attitude and effort criteria when we have openings. If you are interested please see HR to have your name submitted so we can see who will be a fit for new programs that are coming. Again thank you for the review.

Pros

I've worked at previous Erie Call Centers and while there I was unhappy but it made ends meet. Now that I work at Expivia that has all changed. The atmosphere is great, the Supervisors & Management are all approachable and this is a place where you just don't simply make ends meet but you can build a career here. Great starting rate and overtime is frequently an option. A++++

Cons

Smooth sailing so far, no complaints!!!
