Pros

Decent people, free coffee, good salary

Cons

All of the bad reviews are true and all of the good reviews were supervised by management. This company takes micromanagement to its limit, everything you do is monitored- from phone calls to overheard conversations in the staff area, there are even ways to track your location. The passive aggressive, toxic environment of this company genuinely affects your mental health and overall wellbeing. If you enjoy nasty emails at 9pm or over a bank holiday then this is the job for you. If you enjoy being told you need to get in at 7am and leave at 7pm to be successful then this is the job for you. Otherwise, you will be so much better off elsewhere.

Pros

Good salary if you can sell. Good training if you work hard yourself too.

Cons

I was there for several years and built up a very good salary. However you can feel that you become salary trapped if you are good. It took me a couple of years too many to make the step away but I am honestly very glad I did as if you are good enough there is plenty other opportunities to earn big out there. The reviews are accurate on here(also the 'current employees' are asked to write reviews by management so yes there are biased)...yes they choose pretty girls (it is sales though...) , yes the MD refuses to speak to anyone new and yes there is favouritism. Over the years it has become very corporate and has lost the friendly team atmosphere. The route to management is laughable...there are currently sales manager in place who failed to sell or hit any targets themselves. It perhaps is good for a year or two sales training but then move on quick! Oh and it is in an industrial park in Hemel...

Pros

Money - why else would you be in vending? Charismatic leadership Engaging training Ed Val Part of a team Hungry success Tests resilience

Cons

CEO full of self importance - a rumour that he refuses to acknowledge anyone that’s new without any sales. Rumour proved to be true. It’s very cringe that EV is know in the industry for employing attractive women Don’t apply unless you’re in a relationship - they don’t like inter office relations... v ironic. Favouritism

Dear reviewer, Having worked for Express Vending for 8 years, the comments above certainly seem unrecognisable from the company I have found to fairly reward and develop employees across the business. I do however urge you to get in contact and speak to our HR team directly to voice any concerns (anonymously if you wish), as we take any such comments extremely seriously in our quest to maintain our culture of award winning graduate development.
