Pros

Flight privileges on American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and American Airlines (each dependent upon your work group involvement). In addition, space available discounts on many other domestic and international air carriers. Discounts on hotels, car rentals, cruises, resorts, and special events. Paid vacation, holidays, sick time. Health, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD insurance is in my opinion greater than most other companies, offering PPO, CDHP/HSA with decent deductibles. SkyWest Stock Purchase program. Company strives hard to improve our culture. Having the 3 major carriers as part of ExpressJet's customer portfolio keeps you busy and presents positive challenges. You definitely learn a lot about the airline industry, both major and regional airline segments. This may be subjective, but ExpressJet is the best and blows other regionals (Compass, TSA, PSA, Piedmont, Endeavor, Envoy, Air Wisconsin) out of the park when it comes to operational performance, work rules, benefits, etc. By showing potential and determination, your very likely for career opportunities.

Cons

Don't expect the greatest in terms of compensation. Still some "butting heads" after the ASA/ExpressJet merger; however, there has been a lot of improvement since. Company's performance is partly at the mercy of mainline carriers and SkyWest Inc. 2 separate union contracts between Pilots, Flight Attendants, Mechanics and Dispatchers creates a lot of headache for the company as well as our mainline customers.

Pros

I really cannot think of any other than the people you work with are amazing.

Cons

This airline is going out of business so I do not suggest applying. They are keeping it on the down low. BEWARE

Pros

The flight benefits can be considered a pro and a con it is a pro because it doesn't cost much for employees to fly the con is we fly standby and we come last to every company

Cons

Poor management Promotion and career movement is based on favoritism or who you know Coworkers will throw you under the bus to try and get ahead also we are supposed to be a team Many people are in positions and they are not qualified for the position they are in Employees cannot take complaints to management because they do not know who are friends with whom some people in management make mistakes that can ruin the company however they know many people and other department so positions are created for employees who mess up Employees can easily get other employees fired by putting false statements and Management's ear and brown nosing Low pay Custodians do not clean well in office area above hangar
