The people and culture team has a mess of a leader. Communication is always late (covid news should be timely, not days later!) and it’s difficult to get a response from emails. They had a great recruiter who seemed to care and would respond to my emails when I messaged, but she must’ve been smart and left for something better. I know we’re a startup, but better communication can go a long way to show that you care about the employees.
Interview process is way too long for such a flat hierarchy. There’s no reason I need to have 4 interviews + a panel of 8 people and a presentation for a role that isn’t Management.
there was no training program in place when I started. It was more sink or swim. More people will leave if they don’t feel sure about what they’re doing.
