Pros

I joined Ezoic as my first company after graduating and it was a great decision. The environment was incredibly supportive, and I was given a lot of freedom from early on. With that came a lot of responsibility to take ownership of my obstacles and challenges, but this helped me grow as a professional massively. More tenured members of the team were always keen to provide mentorship and support. I will value this for the rest of my career. One of Ezoic's major strengths is its people. Almost everyone at Ezoic, whether in management or individual contributors, are intelligent, kind, and keen to succeed. In all the offices I visited, people were welcoming, proud of their patch and eager to show you around.

Cons

I saw a lot of change both in the industry and consequentially the product and business at Ezoic. It was difficult to keep up times, but this pace is ultimately what keeps the business relevant in such a fast-moving industry, and is one of the reasons why Ezoic employees tend to know so much about the space they operate in. The company continues to hold on to a 'start-up' mentality - move fast and break things, being flexible and adaptable to change, and not letting perfect by the enemy of done. For those that prefer a slower more deliberative environment, or for things to be neat and tidy, they won't find that Ezoic - which may be a con to some.

Pros

The people are great. I can't speak for those in other offices around the world, but the negative descriptions of the atmosphere couldn't be further from my experience - everybody's friendly, there's always joking about and everyone has each other's back. The benefits (free lunches) make me the envy of any catch-up with old colleagues. The job itself is good and I am given enough trust to complete it in the best way, rather than being micromanaged by someone who has no idea how anything works or held to arbitrary targets (as has been my experience with similar roles).

Cons

The current state of the industry does mean that tensions regarding the company's future are high. It's clear that there is a significant effort from the top teams to combat this, but clearer communications on this would be my only complaint. I suppose it's good if the only downside is that it might not last forever.
