Pros

Decent pay and great located, hybrid (for now)

Cons

The blatant favoritism is both laughable and disheartening. Many directors and managers have been promoted or hired based on their willingness to say yes to upper management, rather than their competence or qualifications. So be prepared to manage up at this company. Employees are also bombarded with countless projects and unrealistic deadlines. Should you dare to question these deadlines, you'll receive a warning since management isn't interested in hearing "no" for an answer. Incompetent management is a significant issue here, with many managers lacking the necessary skills to lead and motivate their teams effectively, leading to a high turnover rate and low employee morale. Work-life balance is virtually non-existent at this company, which takes a heavy toll on both physical and mental health. Be prepared to be micromanaged and worked to the bone. Ineffective managers only exacerbate the problem. They often micromanage employees and fail to provide clear guidance, making it challenging to complete tasks efficiently while expecting same-day turnarounds. This company is a revolving door, and I'd advise avoiding it if you value your sanity. Keep searching for better opportunities, and give this company a wide berth.

Pros

Great liscened brands (for now) Great lateral coworkers (but they've all left or are desperate to leave)

Cons

Oh boy...this place had so much potential that it's honestly sad to watch it all implode. A promising culture actively destroyed in favor of artificially propping up junior, problematic employees to leadership level. Favoritism based on personal relationships vs tangible contributions to the organization, leading to laughably early promotions and top-peforming employees getting fired, is the crux of all issues here. Zero onboarding or training (and previous employees were either fired or so burned out that new employees certainly can't expect handover documents of any kind either) Can't overstate how unclear project directions are and this is strictly due to leadership having no idea what they're doing, but wanting to feel important and therefore micromanaging

Pros

Pet friendly, snacks and hybrid until they decide to change that.

Cons

I was initially thrilled to join Fetch 4 Pets, seeing the potential for personal and professional growth within the company. The diverse brands and products, along with the success of long-term employees, were truly inspiring. In the beginning, it felt like a place where experience and talent were valued, with leaders actively supporting teams with resources and tools. Unfortunately, my optimism was short-lived as the company underwent significant changes that negatively impacted the work culture. The work environment transformed into a toxic one, affecting many departments. The decision led to the marginalization of some employees. Resulting in significant personnel turnover, anyone 5+ years with experience either left or were pushed out. Fetch 4 Pets now operates with minimal staff, leading to burnout among those who remain. The HR department was changed and outsourced, making it harder for employees to seek support. Requests for additional personnel were ignored, and experience and talent were no longer valued as they once were. Success at Fetch 4 Pets seemed to be more about playing office politics and pleasing those in authority, rather than focusing on real accomplishments. This resulted in a lack of work-life balance, with employees working excessively to meet demands. Many employees tried to voice their concerns to the leadership, but no meaningful changes were made. The decisions were defended without considering the negative impact on the workforce. The company has undergone detrimental changes, leading to the loss of experienced employees, burnout among staff, and a focus on office politics rather than real success. It is disheartening to see a company that once valued experience and talent devolve into such a negative environment.
