Pros

Company employs ~4515 employees. 4500 of them are "salt of the earth kind of people"

Cons

The company was founded by 3 intelligent, honorable businessmen who valued their employees and recognized their value. Unfortunately when these 3 gentlemen passed away the honor and integrity died with them.

Pros

Insurance is decent. The status quo among office workers is less (often much less) than 40 hours per week. Doing the bare minimum is all that is required usually. No performance reviews (so no goal tracking, no measurement of success) if you like that sort of thing. Sort of place you could often do nothing for weeks, and nobody would probably know the difference. Certain jobs waaaaayyyy overpay for what they are, if you are lucky enough to land one of those. Other jobs wayyyyyy underpay and work the employee to death.

Cons

If you're the type of person that wants to get things done, this isn't the place for you. Projects drag, the culture is full of "no, it can't be done that way". They generally only want to hear ideas from consultants, who get their hooks in the place and drain it for piles of cash and perpetual work. Racial jokes and statements are common among the office and plant staff (for the kind of people this place attracts, this may be seen as a positive). Generally, no work from home is allowed, except for the people that it is allowed for (shhhhhhhh, don't tell anyone.) Certain departments get screwed on office space and supplies, while others seem to have endless $$$ for expansion and fancy furnishings (same folks that somehow seem to be exempt from the "no work from home" rule.)
