Pros

- Compensation and benefits are competitive - The office space is stylish - Customers are fantastic - Competitive product

Cons

- Figma struggles with extreme toxic positivity, like no problems exist and the market is doing great - Instead of embracing diversity, Figma pushes you to change yourself to fit in - It’s indeed one of the fast-growing companies in the world, be prepared that management's decisions happen overnight and you have to learn quickly how to survive in a new environment - The interests of the US team overshadow the EU team - The company's emphasis lies solely on unattainable targets that do not align with the size of the UKI market: the winner is who had a better book of business or got lucky with a rare inbound lead - Micromanagement (because of too many managers) extends to the meticulous review of every email and call, you spend more time on meetings reviewing your calls rather than PGing and closing It's definitely no longer the company I joined

Pros

*A well-known brand in the design space and a great product that is genuinely respected in the market. *Benefits

Cons

Figma’s product has a great reputation, but the internal culture is very different. Leadership is disorganized and constantly shifts strategies, leaving teams with no stability or clear direction. It often felt like no one at the top had a plan, and people were left scrambling to adapt to changes that didn’t stick for long. Micromanagement is everywhere. Instead of trusting people to do their jobs, managers nitpick small details and focus heavily on what’s wrong, while ignoring effort and progress. Feedback tends to be late, inconsistent, and almost always negative, which creates an anxious and demoralizing environment. It felt like managers were more interested in controlling people than actually helping them develop or succeed. Overall, it did not seem like the supportive, innovative workplace it tries to present on the outside. Behind the brand is a leadership team that lacks direction, the culture feels controlling and demoralising, and employees end up undervalued instead of empowered.

Pros

• The internal atmosphere and culture is so much fun. The company all hands meetings are unlike any I've seen, with huge buzz and positivity even in tougher times • Incredibly engaged and passionate user base – our users love us! • High level of autonomy • Very high calibre of skills internally • Regular updates from senior management on company progress • High level of ambition at every part of the company, we're all in this together • Ideas are welcomed and there is a high level of cross functional collaboration • Bi-annual hack weeks • Bi-annual user conference • Monthly "Covid recharge days"

Cons

• Stretch targets often mean working hours are long • There is always a desire for "more", often before the previous task was completed • The high levels of autonomy can mean that you need to be motivated to direct your own workflow • Timezones are hard! • Targets are continuously increased, meaning there's little time to pause and appreciate how well the business is doing
