      Pros

      Eric is a phenomenal boss and teacher. He will always hear you out and offer constructive feedback. He has created a great company culture-- everyone is friendly, supportive and always willing to help each other out. The company is expanding quickly so it's an exciting time to be there, and the current clients spread across an array of industries so there's an opportunity to work on a little bit of everything. It's a very hands on work environment, and you will never feel limited in your responsibilities, there is a lot of opportunity to grow and expand your skill set.

      Cons

      The company is still relatively small, which results in minimal internal structure. But as the company grows, that will change.

      Pros

      Working at FischTank was a great growth opportunity for me as a professional. Particularly as someone starting out in my career, I was given significant leadership opportunities and the ability to own accounts I worked on which is not always the case at similar firms. Both Eric and Matt are supportive and thoughtful leaders that look to promote your development as a professional. If you're looking for the opportunity to jump in and get involved with a number of clients across a variety of industries, FT would be a good fit for you.

      Cons

      As previously mentioned, with a smaller agency can come a larger workload.

      Thank you for your review of your time at FischTank PR, and apologies that this response is so overdue. We appreciate the kind words about the opportunity and your individual development, but also agree with you that at an agency of our size (currently 22 people), things can get hectic! We have since added flex hours, enabling our colleagues to work at times that suit them, and also stress improving work/life balance by not asking anyone to work late at night / early in the morning, and to take PTO days when they need them - no questions asked.       Pros

      FischTank is a great place to work. They have a client roster full of impressive, innovative companies, especially within climate/sustainability. Everyone's expected to show up and work hard, but they understand work-life balance (every other Friday off). They've gone through significant growth over the last 5+ years and continue to evolve to meet the needs of both their employees and clients.

      Cons

      Fast-moving work environment. Can be difficult to work on various accounts with different leads/team members. Some high-level subject matter (climate, b2b tech) that may not interest everyone.

      We appreciate you leaving this review which we feel reflects FischTank PR very accurately. We do push our colleagues (and clients) during the work week, because that is how results are produced. A strong work ethic and desire to execute assertive communications and media outreach are absolute musts for any professional considering FischTank. While we expect hard work and focus during the week, we also respect work/life balance which is why we've instituted the 4.5 day work week you referenced, as well as flexible hour shifting, 15 PTO days (to start), and most important - a respect for evenings and weekends. Your advice is not lost on us either. Being in growth mode is good, but not at the expense of colleagues or clients, so we will work hard to improve processes and structure. Thank you!
