What a nightmare

Pros

If I hadn't gotten screwed by this company I would not be in the awesome position I'm in now. I landed a promotion from this ordeal. Thank you all!

Cons

The work environment appears fun and cool with a room full of sugar, beer, and Apple products. The truth is, they are screwing you out of a reasonable benefits package. There is no explanation of benefits so you have no clue what you are getting yourself into. I went from being a prosperous C# architect to a penniless Tcl programer. They'll promise "no bureaucracy". The truth is, the lead person micro-manages work far more than at any large corporation. You can be fired for no reason at all. There is no HR nor reasonable person to protect you from an incompetent micro-manager with a colossal ego.

Pros

Our breakroom is stocked like a convenience store, they bring lunch in everyday, make good money, my boss is awesome. He pushes me to do better like my best friend would. Everybody is funny and articulate, I feel so blessed to have found such an amazing company.

Cons

A little disorganized, but I believe it is growing pains from moving from such a small company to medium sized in such a short amount of time.

Pros

Lots of growth and varied projects so there are ample opportunities to work on new thing. Management works hard to have it be a comfortable / nice place to work. CEO emails everyone every week with an update on what the goals are, how the sales are going, etc.

Cons

It's sort of a mid-size company with small company structure, which is good in most ways, but also means there isn't formal training or (real) HR yet. You can get what you want or need in terms of training or career growth but you need to know what you need and make it happen rather than have it be part of your structure/plan.
