Feel good job, meet lots of new people and hopefully make changes for the children that your team represents.

Cons

Instead of being legal professionals, most current employees, especially management are former DCF social workers. So, keeping tabs on the Department of Children and Families is lessened, because we were forced to agree with everything that they did, right or wrong, thus making the former great organization just a duplication of efforts.

Its rewarding helping kids achieve permanency in forever homes

Cons

Red tape and lots of paperwork. At times working with service providers is tough and visiting difficult caregivers at times is a lot. Long hours. Court is also unpredictable daily.

The State Program is well organized and has a fantastic State director.

Cons

Low pay, competitive, cannot trust supervisors, very little help from support staff. Due to the low salary, the staff is not good. They are less experienced and of poor quality.
