Pros

Free snacks in the break room.

Cons

Do yourself and your career a favor and don’t consider this company for employment. Be prepared to get phone calls in the middle of your Saturday or Sunday afternoon asking for tasks to be completed. Very minimal career advancement opportunities (if any), they actually hire externally rather than investing in the employees and empowering them to grow. In fact, I have not seen any initiative been ever made by HR nor management for career growth. As a matter of fact, I don’t believe any of them got a clue of what experience, skills or value you got. No wonder hiring decisions are pathetic! No matter how smart and/or hard you work, it won’t advance you any further simply because you aren’t the owner of your career but someone else in management is. Certain individual come and go as they please (keeping their MS Teams on online status to give the impression they are working) as management looks the other way. Very high turnover due to low pay, lack of life-work balance and training. Do your research, check their LinkedIn page and connect with former employees. Ask them why they’ve left and get their feedback on the work environment. In this current hot job market, professionals can easily get much better job opportunities with higher pay and not to mention working fully remote.

Pros

Benefits & compensation, excitement about company growth. The company is growing and there seems to be opportunity for advancement in the near future. It appeared that working in product assembly, with the engineering staff or for senior management (the people upstairs) could be a rewarding experience.

Cons

Work culture & poor lower management in certain departments. There are internal struggles that can make it a less than positive work environment. Not great if you have to work closely with the shipping or accounting departments where the general environment is unwelcoming and cynical. There isn't a clear work place philosophy so employee experience highly depends on who you report to. Ongoing tug of war between the new leadership that appears to be trying to drive the company forward and the previous management that appears to be struggling with letting their baby go.

Pros

It's a start up so there is potential for growth at the company.

Cons

The family culture that Flux speaks of, does not exist. There is a lack of cohesiveness, and teamwork between the different groups of the company (i.e. management, production, engineering etc.) Incoming employees are not a valued part of the company. There is a big disconnect between what management thinks is happening at the lower levels of the company, and what is actually happening. With no HR department, there are no resources to talk to to solve any personal issues, or to address some of the verbal harassment "jokes" that get thrown around by managers to employees that can make some employees feel uncomfortable. No training makes it difficult to near impossible to take initiative and be successful.
