Pros

Steady employer that is investing heavily in itself. Privately held. Great boss & team - work life balance was the best I ever had. Felt like I was affecting the bottom line every day. Good cross training.

Cons

Not a lot of room for advancement. Low salaries and raises. Union environment can be difficult to navigate. Hiring process is too lengthy - mine went relatively quickly, but have spoken to many others who have interviewed since then, and found that they were taking months to make hiring decisions.

Pros

Follett has some very good people working for them, but I feel the company is heading in the wrong direction overall.

Cons

Follett has some highly uneducated managers and VP's in place. The managers do not promote growth for their people. They are more concerned about themselves than their teams.

Pros

Great health insurance / benefits

Cons

The company lays off workers a lot. It is impossible to move up within the company (they like to hire from the outside). They do constantly cut labor hours and expect employees to work the jobs of multiple people. There is no training.
