I have been working at Ford Credit full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

People always leave the office on time - never any expectation to work overtime. Exceptional maternity leave for women - 12 months full pay. Generally quite relaxed atmosphere.

    Cons

Location of office and lack of public transport - a car is a must. Level of bureaucracy stifles innovation and hampers speed of delivery. Too much respect paid to job titles and salary grades, which also creates inefficiency and slows everything down. Un-meritocratic: promotions and speed of career progression appear to be determined primarily on the basis of personal relationships/popularity, rather than job... performance.

    Advice to Management

As the workforce keeps suggesting in the annual employee surveys, try to reduce bureaucracy. Nurture talent and ambition and don't stifle innovation because a project may fall slightly outside of procedure.

    Pros

Supportive colleagues, multicultural environment, discount for the vehicles.

    Cons

HR does not exist at all; Wages and holiday entitlement are way below the market average. Management is not qualified, no people management skills. In dealer service, every single month they put all the staff performance on a blackboard (board of shame) and the underperformers are all in red. The department is understaffed, even if you reach the position of underwriting the salary still exactly the same. They train... you for different roles and the management call it "flexibility", the naked truth is that the turnover is so high that you are overwhelmed by tasks. In wholesale, the situation is even worse, the management is hired based on their relationship with the big shot in the company. and if any issue arises they cover up each other.

    Pros

New office. Central location. Nice and supportive colleagues. You can swap with somebody of your same level for a different shift if you need it.

    Cons

People use to leave, and lots of people are coming on waves, which makes it challenging to avoid mistakes on how the work is done. Shifts. Work on weekends and bank holidays. Lack of communications with managers. They train you on different departments without considering your opinion. Lack of schedule in advance in what department are you working during the day. Culture of gossiping. Up to the team leader if... you are sent for overviews of other departments to eventually apply.

I worked at Ford Credit full-time

    Pros

There is few pro’s to find here.

    Cons

Every process is documented and must be followed. For people who are problem solvers or creative then this company is not for you. Way to restrictive in their methods (they do not like change) and their on boarding is terrible.

    Pros

    Great office location. Multicultural environment.

    Cons

No one really knows what they are doing. Management is extremely secretive and most of decisions and (sometimes structural) changes are decided inside secret meetings without any participation of the team. Overall feeling that the company doesn't care enough. Micromanagement without any acknowledgment of responsibility for mistakes from management side. If anything goes wrong it's definitely not.managements... fault. Even though all too many times bad situations are generated by poor management and/or lack of it.
