Pros

The business is growing by acquiring best-in-class market research technology products that fit the portfolio. The company has so much potential and could be a really interesting place to work if it weren't for the suffocating cons.

Cons

CCO and CEO need to be replaced as they are not trusted or respected by the sales team. Empty promises, no management accountability for mistakes, "let's wing it" attitude to revenue allocation, use of scare tactics, no justification/rationale behind quotas, poor base pay, capped commission and no career path (unless you're a female, brownnoser and want to move to Bulgaria).

Pros

A genuinely solid suite of qual & quant products. Open wallet for international travel if you're putting in the right hours and direction. A lovely spacious office in the very heart of London with modern facilities and acres upon acres of space - i meant empty desks.

Cons

- Exceptionally bad directorship - throughout - Middle management just haven't got a clue - personal egos and agendas replace dynamic leadership and motivation - very sad - very little support on personal development - systems support - training etc - HR are nothing short of incompetent - be careful - Salaries / Targets / Bonuses are in a constant state of flux - absolute nightmare and very demotivating. goalpoasts shifting constantly to match the cash-hungry investors who will take everything and give little - you've been warned. - This is not a TEAM environment - you will not get support - motivation - direction - mentorship - advice so be careful - it's one of the most unprofessional environments i've ever worked and exceptionally pleased not to be there - Some management are so blind that they dont even realise it's their own ridiculous behaviour as the cause of unhappiness on Internal satisfaction survey. You just cant make this stuff up.

First of all, we would like to thank you for taking the time to complete this review with your feedback. Business Development is among the most challenging an demanding positions in every company and at the same time one, of the most rewarding in regards to compensation. It's a shame you felt your goals were unachievable and fluctuating, while we were going through a significant period of change and unification of our divisions. As you stated yourself, we are proud that our employees can benefit from a number of perks, a generous travel policy and, as of the beginning of 2017, a constant flow of workshops and sales trainings - including a 3 day seminar we held in the summer, under the guidance of Dominic Colenso and InFlow Training. We would be happy to further discuss your concerns in this forum or through other communication channels, as feedback from our employees is critical for our future development, which is the reason we take internal pulse surveys very seriously. Please reach out to fresnohr@focusvision.com with additional feedback if you would like to pursue further.

Pros

There is still a bunch of really good colleagues to work with , not many sadly as most got either pushed out , or just had enough and moved on. Laid back set up yet productive

Cons

Sadly not place what it once been. Long gone are days where company actually cared about their staff. Most teams are massively under staffed (result of never ending lays off and restructuring , loads left as had enough of the mess). Complete lack of any strategy , leadership team has no vision nor is interested to hear their staff feedback. What once was a really good workplace became a sinking ship. There were plenty of opportunities after mergers and acquisition to really strengthen company’s position and become a market leader but it won’t happen now as it’s simply too late. Product development plans change all the time one thing is meant to happen then yet something else takes over and things never gets finished. Complete lack of processes together with understaffed teams means that you never know where to go to or whom ask for help and days are spend on investigating who can help with certain task. It’s exhausting really. Company that acquired Forsta has no interest whatsoever in growing it and making it a good workplace. Funny how they recognise that we are in tough financial times when many people struggle to pay their bills but yet this year sales teams seen cuts in their commission plans without any proper explanations nor clarifications. This together with lack of pay rises and any career development opportunities pushing people to leave.
