Great team collaboration in the UK sales team

Cons

Target is too high for Europe compared to US Favouritism towards Americas (easier target, better pay, better commission structure...) Reduced our base pay in this current inflation climate

Forter has created a very special place where you have the freedom and support to do your best work, surrounded by smart and supportive people. The founders and executive leadership team are visible and accessible - they answer employee questions every month on our company all-hands meeting and can often be seen supporting sales on pitches and at company happy hours. The introduction of 4.5 days a week started as an experiment and has become a permanent benefit, and frequent company social events, thoughtful employee gifts, and an incredibly proactive people operations team are great advantages of working here. The marketing team has grown significantly since I joined over two years ago, and having the opportunity to work with our experienced and supportive CMO and incredibly talented creative team are two of my favourite parts of my job. There are great opportunities to build and progress your career at Forter, with constant opportunities to tackle new challenges, take on new responsibilities, and work with smart colleagues and innovative, globally recognisable customers.

Cons

Forter is a fast-moving SaaS company - things evolve quickly - new products, new team members, and (depending on which team you are in) your role may also grow and change, and that's not everybody's cup of tea, especially if you haven't worked in a similar environment before. At Forter you get a lot of responsibility, but the hierarchical structure is very flat, which means you have to be highly collaborative and be able to work effectively across stakeholders and different teams, and that's also something that many people might not find comfortable or enjoyable. For those that thrive in this fast-paced environment, Forter might end up being the best company you've ever worked at.

Sometimes the best career growth comes from leaving the wrong environment. I’ve worked in organisations where the vision was once inspiring—but over time, the cracks started to show. With Forter there is: 🔹 A revolving door of leadership. 🔹 Teams divided by internal politics, not united by purpose. 🔹 Constant rebrands, vanity metrics "1.8 Billion Identities known" (verified by who???), and a product roadmap that served the pitch deck more than the customer. 🔹 Talented people leaving—one after another—driven out by dysfunction, not ambition. It’s tough when a place with promise loses its way. But it’s also a reminder: culture eats strategy for breakfast—and without integrity, no amount of growth hacks or dashboards can hide what’s really going on. To those in the trenches of toxic environments: trust your gut. Value alignment matters. Direction matters. And great people do their best work when they’re trusted, supported, and led with clarity.

Thank you for your feedback. Fostering a strong and healthy company culture is a top priority for us, and we're continuously exploring ways to improve. While there have been some recent departures, our overall attrition remains below industry benchmarks. We’re also energized by the addition of new leaders this year, including our Chief Financial, Marketing, and Product Officers, who bring deep experience building and leading high-performing teams. We’re confident they’ll make a meaningful impact on both our culture and business.
