I worked at Foxtons full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

£, me £146k after tax (plus 'neg bonuses'...brown envelope- tho unofficial and approx £25k) My friend got a Porsche Boxster given as he got a higher price than vendor wanted at least that above the value of a Boxter. Vendors declare neg bonuses before sales begin. Professional contacts, again depending on area. I went to work for an UAE prince after I quit. Super Hot colleagues (called a branded sales force), social-life,...

    Cons

Good /Bad area is very important. Need to work centrally Mayfair/Chelsea/Sth Kensington/Fulham/Islington or Hampstead, if you want salary above £50k. So interview well, beware it's bizzare process. Your released into a room without instruction. All the apps plus staff (beer is served, have one, it's not a trick, rather the culture.) MUST talk to every single person there whom already has a job, usually office managers....

    Advice to Management

Figures are everything, micromanage rubbish sales staff. Be ruthless. Performance manage. Inspirational chat each morning... Just try to think of subjects you don't repeat, repeatedly. Be a nice guy or girl, most are far from it. Quicker vertical mobility if your staff like you. Be very good at sales and translating it's intrinsic philosophy if not the catch phrases or behaviours.

I have been working at Foxtons full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - People (Always ready to help and share their knowledge with others and there is no sense of superiority) - Training (Very professional and organised) - IT systems - Quality of the office and facilities

    Cons

    - Salary is not competitive when compared to the same position in other companies, which leads to a significant number of people leaving the company - Only 20 days of annual leave - Required to work from 3 to 4 Saturdays per year (unpaid and no days off in lieu)

    Advice to Management

    Consider reviewing the cons above.

I worked at Foxtons full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Learned to negotiate and handle office politics

    Cons

Limited range of skills to be transferred - senior management have all progressed internally meaning there are limitations to what they can teach you beyond their own experience in doing the same role

I have been working at Foxtons full-time for more than a year

    Pros

free fuel for when you have any spare time; a mobile telephone; used to look good on your CV

    Cons

No freetime. So many people have worked there, its not such a great achievement anymore.

    Advice to Management

Stop asking employees to write fraudulent reviews on Glassdoor. There is NO WAY the CEO should be rated positively; he has nothing to do with any employee outside of the Senior Management Team. There is zero chance the staff working 70+ hour weeks whilst he gives himself a £100k payrise as the company made a loss have anything nice to say about him. He may be great (at a company making a loss?) but the staff wouldn't...
