Pros

You get a free pair of boots every month.

Cons

Management isn’t educated in their field and will offer you nothing but a power trip. You will not grow or learn anything by working here. They will devalue you and make you feel like a mindless robot chained to your desk. You will be micromanaged beyond belief. I’ve seen employees cry on a daily basis due to management here. Your ideas, opinions, creativity, etc… will not be taken into consideration regardless of your background or education. Favoritism is extremely apparent on a regular basis. Benefits, especially PTO, are the biggest slap in the face. You get four paid holidays yearly, and if they fall on a weekend, you don’t get the Friday before or Monday after off. In 2021, we were given one holiday off.. that’s it. If you enjoy any form of a work life balance, this most definitely is not the place for you. Working from home, isn’t an option at all. Management will find a way to tear you down regularly, regardless of how hard you work, in order to avoid promoting you or providing you with a raise. DO NOT take a lower salary, even if they offer you a “signing bonus”. They will NEVER give you that signing bonus. You’re required to clock in & out, even if you’re a salary employee. They will take away PTO time for doctor’s appointments and if you’re sick. You’re only allowed a 30min lunch break even if you’re a salary employee and will be given a “strike” if you take anything longer. Collaboration and new ideas are HIGHLY discouraged. Management will happily yell at you while alone in the building and tell you that they will replace you, if you offer any new ideas or suggestions for processes within the company to help improve your job or workflow. They’re constantly hiring new employees because their turnover is so high. They do not care about their employees, they do not want to see them grow and they do not value quality people or work.

Deceiving

Pros

Employees get to purchase shoes at a great discount.

Cons

This was the worst place I have ever worked. The ad was completely deceiving from what I actually was paid to do. I was told I would oversee a team of stylists and learn how to run the store. Instead, I was hired alongside 4 other AGMs with two stylists beneath all of us. I did not learn anything about the business, but rather spent 9 hours a day tweaking shoes on the floor and constantly being pushed to have conversations with customers, even when it was clear the customer did not want to converse. My schedule was never a set schedule. I was forced to wear Freebirds that KILLED my feet. Girls assured me I would have the "Freebird Foot" after about three weeks. This is when your feet go completely numb to Freebird shoes. Girls had blisters and scars all over their feet. I started to have ankle issues due to my shoes. One of the people who hired me and who I worked alongside was a bully. I was belittled, told I didn't dress cute enough, and was constantly under scrutiny by that person. The company cannot keep employees in their stores and wonder why.

Pros

You get a great discount but there are restrictions of course. People are friendly to your face but fake.

Cons

Where do I even start? There are an incredible amount of cons to working for this company. First of all, don't expect to ever get your idea off the ground in this company. It is highly discouraged to start your own project as the CEO just creates his own documents and then you have to do it his way. There are no career opportunities because of this and no chances to learn anything. It is his way or nothing so you just have to do it. Great if you love conforming and don't care about contributing anything. Felt like I was just pushing paper and was incredibly demeaning. The CEO is listening to everything, he monitors your emails, chats, and wouldn't be surprised if he had listening devices planted. He is also paranoid about everything, can't work from home, and no flexibility in work-life balance. Even if you pick up a call or make an appointment for the doctor everyone is up in your business asking what you were talking about. You are expected to work a scheduled 9-6 or 8-5 and can't leave early or you are judged. NO ONE is happy and can never speak up about how they truly feel. You have to wear the shoes to work and dress in a bohemian way that is on brand and you even have to listen to the same playlist every single day and it is infuriating. The music has to be on-brand so they are not willing to change it and discourage you from wearing headphones as you can't listen to the office chatter. Also, the shoes are uncomfortable!!! If you wear other shoes they make fun of you, very belittling. So you are forced to pay for the shoes and then just wearing them with co-workers around? No training for employees and just expected to learn it on your own or figure it out. It felt like a cult where everyone just trained to say certain things and wear certain things to fit in. I never felt like I belonged or fit in and they made no efforts to make me feel like a part of it or to get to know me in any way. Did not give us paid holidays off Completely devalued me and took a hit to my confidence-they micromanaged every chance they could get. I've never felt so negative about myself in my life. It is truly the worst workplace I have ever worked in.
