Pros

* Remote working and mostly asynchronous communication (no days of full meetings) * VC-Backed with an emerging product, it's really quite an exciting time to be involved in Frontastic * A dedicated people team to work on delivering a great people experience - in my experience that's not a common occurrence in other small companies * I get to work with great people from all over the world

Cons

* As expected in an early stage start-up there's a lot to do, it's fast-paced and there's lots of challenging work (it's not for everyone) * It can sometimes be hard to build relationships in a remote environment

Pros

I've worked for some great companies in the UK, mostly startups that are stable and well established. During the pandemic and while working form home I decided I wanted a change and have been nothing but impressed with the company culture. They really understand remote first and people first.

Cons

As a startup(ish) there are occasional days of lots of things happening at once, and often I need to use my initiative rather than be told what to do. Nothing I wouldn't expect from a startup and not even sure I'd personally consider it a con.

Pros

Frontastic is a remote native company, which really accommodates my needs as someone who isn’t able bodied, because I don’t need to commute to an office. Diversity isn’t just a catch phrase here - we are distributed all over EMEA and APAC, so when we meet in person once a year for our annual retreat we can have genuine Italian, Indian and Lithuanian cuisine all in just one day! If you like you can have deep talks with real friends here, not “just small talks with colleagues”. Also we are really fast and flexible when it comes to role changes or increasing/decreasing your working hours as well as giving you freedom on when and how to spend them. You get a company credit card, an allowance on education and a co-working space etc. We don’t sit in internal meetings all day but instead we have topic themed, 10 minute long meetings from 11-12 every day, which is really efficient and gives you more time for focused work to actually get things done.

Cons

As a startup there are still some things we are figuring out, so you need to think on your own when you face problems, but people are super helpful with solving them :) Also that means you have independent thinkers as your colleagues, so to me it is actually a pro... Maybe working remote might be a con to some, you have to like working like that. Our yearly retreats are totally making this up for me though and we are constantly improving our internal events to keep us all connected :)
