Pros

A few good coworkers and free drink and food in the kitchen.

Cons

I worked at Fuhu for 2+ years and here's my experience: Company Culture The Fuhu culture is like the mafia.  The head of the mafia is Robb Fujioka, Don Corleone if you will with out the charisma nor the wisdom.  Robb is the nucleus of Fuhu and is surrounded by his goons, A.K.A partners/managers.  As an employee of Fuhu, you are either in the inner circle where you have protection and privilege or you are not and be subjected to disrespect and arrogance from the managers. Common employees are told to be obedient and submissive.  If you are a yes-man, you will flourish at Fuhu, however, if you challenge the inner circle's thinking or decision, you'll be dealt harshly: reprimand from the manager, reprimand from the manager and Robb, or termination of employment. As a result, the atmosphere of the company is gloomy and fearful.  It's no wonder the turn-over rate at Fuhu is extremely high and worker satisfaction is extremely low. The Work Working hour is long and the pay is relatively low.  Average day of work starts at 9AM and ends... There's no overtime pay even tho employees need to clock-in in the morning, clock in/out for lunch, and clock out when the day ends. Paid time off is abstract because you have unlimited vacation days; after two years, you'll equate unlimited vacation to no vacation. Nothing is scheduled at Fuhu.  When Robb has an idea, a project starts.  No project planning, no sprint planning, no resource planning, no nothing.  However, there's always an unrealistic deadline that gets pushed back as you go. There are project managers (coordinators) for each department.  Tech team has a few, creative team has a few.  All the project managers manages in silos and completely uncoordinated with the rest of the company.  As a result, no one knows what's going on and where the project is at. Because there's no project planning, every once in awhile, Robb will have new ideas he wants to inject into the project.  As it's very common that the project you started is not the project you are working on a month later. The Management Robb micro-manages everything: from what product to do to what color an icon to use to who should clean up the coffee stains in the carpet.  Robb needs to micro-manage everything because he has a group of loyal yet incompetent managers. These managers have no management experience, they are promoted managers because they do what Robb asks.  Fuhu managers lack professionalism where they resolve conflicts by going to Robb instead of working things out.  Fuhu managers lack leadership because the way they persuade you to do something is by telling you "Robb wants it this way."  Fuhu managers lack integrity because they will always find an escape goat to get them out of trouble.  Basically Fuhu lacks management. Business Ethics What ethics?  This firm lacks ethics. Employees are encouraged to find competitor products and "just re-skin it".   Nothing in Fuhu product line is unique, all of them are copy cat products Fuhu ripped from competitors. Fuhu's business ethic is so bad that they instructed the managers to write false 5 stars reviews on Glass Door trying to bury the negative reviews and skew the overall company rating.  How do I know?  Fuhu had a consistent low rating of 1.8 stars for 2+ years, and then, in the course of a few days, a flood of 5-star reviews came in rising the rating to almost 4 stars. Despicable action that's inline with Fuhu's culture. In Conclusion I've worked at start-ups and fortune 500 companies and never have I experience a company as indifferent to their employees well-being as Fuhu.  My experience at Fuhu taught me how spot bad companies in the future. !!AVOID FUHU AT ALL COSTS!!

Pros

There are absolutely no pros to working here. None. Not a single solitary one.

Cons

Every single negative review posted on Glassdoor about FUHU is 100% accurate. Do NOT be fooled by any review above 1 star. The positive reviews are so transparent, pathetic and smells of desperation. In fact, every time I read a positive review, I can just imagine the employee writing it as if he/she was being held hostage and in order to survive, they had to write exactly what their captor tells them to. My experience working at FUHU was the absolute worst. Even thinking about it now, I find it incredulous that such a place could exist in the US. Talk about sweat shop, illegal HR practices, shady loopholes, ageism, racism, sexism - they ALL run rampant. And you know why no one can do anything? The founder is a narcissistic entitled deranged person who SCREAMS at the drop of a hat, THROWS items at your head, BELITTLES you until you're sobbing in tears in front of your peers, CURSES at you, ISOLATES you if he doesn't like you. Everyone else there - including the "CEO" - is terrified of this Napoleon-complexed temper-tantrum having "leader." It's a crime what they're doing over there. They work you to the bone, NO ONE except the crazy founder gets to leave before 7 pm, there's no such thing as PTO, they make empty promises, they ship in people who don't speak English to work at a place where it truly is driven by a screaming tyrant. No one - not a single solitary person - has the balls to speak up to the founder. If you do, you're OUT. One day, I will laugh about my experience there. Up until then, every time I drive by their office, I flip them the bird.

Pros

-Some hardworking, genuine young people. Who are always being taken advantage of by the company, because they are naive and are afraid to express their opinion.

Cons

Polar-opposite reviews . Why is that? If you take a little bit more time, and pay just a bit more attention, you would see a sudden sprout of positive reviews within a short period of time. Negative reviews that was generated through a course of 2 years. Why would a company that received so many bad reviews consistently, suddenly get so many positive responses? Did the company suddenly changed its' structure and its' management, therefore resulting in better reviews? Or do you have a company that tries to dilute their own underwhelming review score with forced, biased, 5 star positive reviews? Ask yourself, what kind of people runs this company? What kind of values do they have? what kind of mindset Is it, to distort information that was meant to help others, who are in search for a job that suits them? A place that lacks consistent and solid leadership. If you want to Not be able to utilize your intelligence, and simply wants to complete tasks that are given to you, right or wrong, without asking any questions. Then you would fit here quite comfortably. Expect to be disrespected, overworked and constantly confused. Read all the reviews carefully before coming to your own conclusion.
