Pros
Selling the world to the world
Cons
Bought by and replaced by hotelbeds
- 3.029 Nov 2016Account Handler - OperationsFormer Employee, more than 5 yearsLondon, England
Pros
Friendly people, good training, good location, good infrastructure and work space, relaxed environment, polite managers, good mix job-personal life, no much extra time required, reasonable shifts, travel allowance
Cons
working weekends or bank holidays, very hard to ascend within the company, poor HR support in order to progress to better positions, many managers only got there because of their friends or keeping quiet but they are very inefficient or discontent with the job and company, the company is sold and bought constantly, departments open and close all the time, people left redundant all the time, projects started and then left unfinished, quite unstable in the long run.

Pros
- Good vibe with the people that you work - Employees genuinely care about the business - Travel perks in the sense that you can get accommodation at good rates around the world
Cons
- Management have totally demotivated the staff - Complex, unachievable bonus plan which has not paid out for years, unless you're in upper management and have completely different targets

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, your feedback will be discussed further in meetings. We are committed to developing quality managers, who take the time to coach, mentor and support people to reach their full potential, therefore it is regretful to read that you do not feel this to be true in your case.
- 1.011 Apr 2016OperationsFormer Employee, more than 10 yearsLondon, England
Pros
Good work life balance and decent perks (hotel and service discount)
Cons
Low skilled senior management that don't care about their employees or customers. The company values and people deal is a fad. Staff are underpaid. Poor reward system. Hiring and promoting for favoritism. The work is meaningless and does't provide value especially with having to use legacy system and follow redundant processes that the management doesn't want to deal with. Some managers and peers can be downright rude and bullies. They don't realize that power does not equal leadership. You have to earn the right to manage. Their new CX is just a structural change and a catch phrase, the management are highly inexperienced and incompetent and don't take responsibility, only keep passing the buck. This has been going on for decades. Senior management don't communicate important information and don't encourage growth.

Pros
A company with a great past and a great potential future. There are ample opportunities for those prepared to put the effort in and who are genuinely determined to work hard to make the company succeed. A time of change in the organisation which brings both pros and cons but for new employees, probably more of the former.
Cons
Poor working environment, with few benefits to the package (so negotiate that salary hard!) Recent restructuring shows poor recognition for the value of the people who were once deemed "the companies greatest assets"
3 - 1.026 Dec 2015Credit ControllerFormer Employee, less than 1 yearLondon, England
Pros
Benefits: travel discounts, travel budget of 350 pounds and good work life balance The salary was good but doesn't increase much over time
Cons
Very poor management and communication: - no stimulation to progress within the company, barely any career opportunities and no ability to take on extra responsibilities - no recognition/reward for hard work or ideas (low work ethic as a result) - high level of complacency + favouritism: more senior staff can arrive late, quit earlier and take longer lunch breaks,.. - very inefficient: many people barely had any work and werent able to take on more work. - company is not performing well

Pros
Great people who are trying their best in a difficult environment. GTA name is a real positive but his is being eroded by poor management.
Cons
Constant change and no long term strategy. Outsourcing seems to be the answer without consideration of business impact. One size fits all approach to outsourcing is a dangerous direction. Acquisition by EQT appears to be gearing up for sale of loss making areas and changing landscape of remaining business. The uncertainty is leading to good employees jumping ship

Pros
Good colleagues fun work environment ok office location. The fun days are a good way to relax people once in a while
Cons
No progression unless your know someone and do not have an opinion or character Company is sinking fast Salary is low for the amount of work expected Work is not rewarded in fact you are only appreciated when your smiling and pretending everything is ok. Hard work means nothing its all about how pretend happy you are
1 - 3.015 Nov 2017Group OperationsFormer Employee, less than 1 year
Pros
Location, some flexibility in hours, days worked, flexibility of working from home when necessary.
Cons
Top management clueless, harming the company with inefficient practices. Communication from top level cascading down is useless. Company vision unclear and not communicated well. People are not important. Some employees and departments getting more than others for no justifiable reason which causes resentment.

Pros
Decent salary package to start in the company ( travel insurance, insurance , pension) like i guess most of the big company
Cons
No progression. Open space could be really noisy. Feel like a number not as an employee with consideration. Would not recommend. No rewards. Appently there is a non-competive clause that gta directors agreed with competitors on the Market like Travco ( means cant hire each other staff). So think befor working there. Feel like this company use people. Modern slavery.
