Pros

Many co-workers are friendly.

Cons

HR uses one generic ad to hire people rather than advertising which positions are open. Almost all entry-level positions are data entry and not really advertising jobs. They don't tell you this until after you're hired. They provide no job descriptions then blame you for not meeting standards that they do not tell you about until they tell you that you did not meet a standard. There is a VERY HIGH turnover. They fire more people than they retain. This is a red flag.

Pros

The literal only good thing about working here is your coworkers. Everyone is miserable together.

Cons

I literally could not believe the amount of micromanagement that goes on here. If you aren't at work 5 minutes early, you're late. Don't even think about going to the kitchen to fill your water bottle after 8 a.m.! Lunch is at noon and ends at one not a minute sooner or later. Same goes with end of the day. Don't you dare leave right at 5 when you're technically allowed. Aside from all of that, the work here is mind numbingly boring. If you like to input numbers into spreadsheets all day, maybe this job is for you but if you actually want some excitement, stay away. When you're done with the spreadsheets and have literally nothing to do, don't even think about browsing the web because any site you'd want to look at is blocked because management has a giant superiority complex and thinks that grown, mostly college educated adults need to be treated like children. Speaking of management, it's horrible. Basically everyone is some management role thinks that they are so important when half of them are in their positions because of favoritism. To top it off, management expects everyone to be so grateful for every little party or company dinner or some donuts left in the kitchen. Maybe we would be more grateful if you ever gave raises or actually gave us some days off. If you like to be condescended and treating like a child, this is the place for you.

Pros

I loved working with most of the people I interacted with on a day to day basis. When you work long, grueling hours, it's nice to know that there are others who share your plight.

Cons

I worked there for about 8 years with pay that was entry level for what I did. I think I got one raise and that was because I went from hourly to salary. They make you sign a non-compete agreement in order to block you from working from any competitor in the area (like 100 miles) even remotely doing anything that GWA thinks they do. Be prepared to be micromanaged by people who aren't even your manager. Unless you want to rise among the ranks with like-minded people, don't apply there.
