Pros

The only real pro is that i didnt have to work with the "managers" at my location! Its a family run business that constantly argues/fights/scream so you get different answers/orders from them constantly. There is no leadership...just yelling over the phone. I did have some freedom to do what I needed to do but i was being constantly watched by the CAMERA THAT WAS INSTALLED DIRECTLY ABOVE ME AND WAS AIMED DIRECTLY ON ME (seriously- I wish I was making this up). You have to be self sufficient as you're on your own 99% of the time with ZERO help from mgmt...unless something goes wrong then theyll do something since it costs them money - the only thing they care about. If they didn't have the answer, it was always to google it. They do honor their warranty though!

Cons

Mgmt ordered us to throw away hazardous hybrid battery cells into the trash instead of recycling them. Being forced to shipping lithium hybrid batteries but declaring them non hazardous material (much cheaper shipping) so it doesnt have to be hazmat shipping. Being forced to sell mislabeled products such as a used battery that's sold as new to customers. You're commanded to do unsafe things and there was NO safety gear of any kind. We dealt with high voltage hybrid batteries and one wrong move could kill you or vaporize an 8mm wrench instantly (happened to a coworker). Managers don't help and get annoyed when asking for help. Being treated poorly and talked down to constantly. I had to work with one of the family friends and allegedly he was paid cash under the table so he could still get his military retirement. This is just one example I can think of but there's plenty more.

Pros

Some opportunities to learn about hybrid and EV battery systems. Hands-on work provides real-world experience in manufacturing and process improvement. Friendly coworkers and a small team environment can make collaboration easier.

Cons

Lack of clear training and organization makes it difficult to grow. Communication between departments is often poor, and management direction changes frequently. Limited career advancement and low pay compared to industry standards. Equipment and tools are often outdated, slowing down productivity.
