I worked at Greggs part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great part time as a student; it's money, keeps you busy and gives you a few different responsibilities as opposed to a singular repetitive task.
Nice discount- although I can barely eat Greggs anymore.
Nice colleagues and issues could be brought up fairly maturely most of the time.
As a child I always thought it would make a nice first side job, and it did.

    Cons

Was on 4 hour contract- started to get to the point I was being expected to work up to 30 hours while in full time study - Even on short notice. Made the relationship with colleagues a little more tense.

I worked at Greggs part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fun and fast work place, time went very quickly
    Trained across different roles
Decent salary, which is increased based on how many months you’ve worked there
    Staff discount

    Cons

    Early morning (5.30am shifts)
    Incompetent management
Disorganised (sent to Morrison’s to get milk because manager didn’t order enough)
Had no choice but to cover when people didn’t show up for work

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees problem before giving them a warning.

I worked at Greggs full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They talk a good game on work life balance and being a family, and do genuinely recognise long service. Outside London the pay is decent.

    Cons

Massive recruitment issues due to not paying enough in London, resulting in work life balance being awful and shops understaffed and stressful.

    Advice to Management

Pay London weighting. This will help hire and retain staff inside the m25
