Pros

Good benefits Nice office Only 1 month notice period

Cons

Management scared to point out issues, as owner/CEO fires people as soon as he hears bad things from them Owner/CEO refuses to hear about any issues, and if he hasn't heard about them there are no problems Owner/CEO refuses to pay for quality (products, design, components) All directors (except for owner) were got rid of for no reason No ideas are approved of, except for the MD's HR department got rid of, probably because they were telling the Owner/CEO about issues

Pros

Free Parking? Reasonably nice offices?

Cons

If you want job security like a house of cards, this is the place to be. If you want to experience unnecessary rushed product design first hand, this is the place to be. If want to see people who actually care about product quality and design get pushed out of the company and made redundant, this is the place to be. 99% of the employees at Gtech are amazing people. It's a massive shame that Nick Grey (CEO) is so focused on ruining the products that are produced by draining every ounce of quality out of them in the form of "cost reduction". The word quality is rarely even used anymore. The stories I could tell about some of the things that have gone on in this place are so amazing that you would think that I am making them up, because of how utterly ridiculous they are.

Pros

They literally don't expect you to do any work what so ever (doing your job properly or at all would increase the likely hood of being handed your P45). The car park always has loads of free spaces (probably due to the on-going redundancies). Management give you loads of autonomy over your work (mostly because they have no idea whats going on or how to complete basic work related tasks themselves). There's good outlook for career progression (if you are driven by internal company politics and take little interest in progressing within your chosen field). You get paid (an under market value salary). There's a lot variety in the work (as a result of management chopping and changing what they want as they have no plan or strategy). The whole experience was essentially like being on an episode of Punk'd (except when I handed in my notice MTV didn't pop out with loads of cameras and surprise me).

Cons

I learnt how not to run a company (may be one of the most valuable things I will learn, thanks Gtech).
