Dan Moran Ruined This Company in a Year

Pros

This used to be a great place to work.

Cons

Within about a year Dan Moran has driven this company into the ground. Staff turn over is high. Leadership is backstabbing. Bills do not get paid. Neither do bonuses. Do not do business with this firm. You will not get paid. Do not work here or you will hate your life.

Thank you for taking the time to write this but we find it quite unfair that you point out a specific person in this review. At H2I Group, we work as a team. This is a huge benefit of an employee-owned company; in that, we are not governed by one single owner or leader. You may not agree with the recent decisions that have taken place at our company, but it was a move that our team has had to make for the betterment of our company's operations, and most importantly, our employee-owners. Thank you for everything that you have done at our company and we wish you well in your future.

Pros

There are some really good people here, but the leadership group is terrible.

Cons

If you’re considering a career at H2I Group I encourage you to look past the 5 star reviews that they convince the kids they bring in for summer internships to write. The negative reviews are an accurate reflection of the toxic work environment created by H2I leadership and their egos. Theses a lot of talk about “change” and people not being able to accept “change” in these comments but I think you have to consider the types of changes that have been made. In the last year or so this company has lost a president, cfo, coo, HR director, IT director, marketing director, and many more. Those are huge changes for a company of its size and as much Dan Moran wants to act like these are necessary, strategic changes, a lot of them were not his choice. Leaders who had been with this company for 10+ years are jumping ship and being replaced by people who do not understand this company’s history or it’s values.

Hi, Dan Moran here. Thank you for the the time you took to write your message. It is unfortunate read of the bitterness you carry towards the changes made under my leadership. It pains me to hear it actually, as I want all people to feel as positive and courageous about the future as I do. As President, I look at what is best for the company. Not the company we were...but the company we are becoming. One with an inclusive culture, flexible work environment and positive, kind, intelligent employee base. To achieve this, yes, we had to make many changes to our systems, process and staffing. Ironically, many of these changes were necessary to address several points mentioned in your posting. Something that will never change, however, is our company wide commitment to having the strongest ESOP program in the industry. An honor to the founding fathers who built this company and the legacy of current, forward thinking individuals who work hard and smart, every single day to ensure our greatness. Additionally, we will continue to mentor our inspiring intern pool with welcoming, challenging opportunities that result in one hell of an incredible experience for them. I am very proud to recognize 70% of our interns wrapped up their program with a job offer. It is a shame that their heartfelt connection to their experience, as shared on this platform, didn’t resonate with you. I hope you can come to a place where you recognize the importance of building up other people with positive support. And that you share in the enthusiasm and joys of change and progress. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts here on this platform. If there are other employees who feel similar to you, I hope that they will utilize the many internal platforms we in place to collect real-time actionable feedback. I value employees who shine a light on my blind spots. It takes courage to speak up. And we need them too, to eliminate dark corners, poor behavior and improve process and culture, as a team. Together we are #H2IStrong It is my hope that everyone who works at H2I Group for however long, leaves better than they arrived. Should you wish to discuss any of your points in person please contact me directly. I welcome the opportunity to talk through your message for your closure and ours. If I do not hear from you, please know I wish you well on your next adventure. Thank you, Dan Moran

Pros

majority of company personnel and accounting/billing dept very friendly. good team atmosphere among mid level employees and departments. flexible work schedule and good benefits. ESOP (if they keep you there long enough to retain it.)

Cons

upper management is a joke. they all only care about themselves and their ESOP money. dont value or appreciate the employees that do the majority of the work and run the projects that help contribute to ESOP. look down on employees that have been there shorter than they have.
