Pros

All ok until things go bad for the company. I worked with HRS for 4 years developing a very good portfolio of a previously untapped market. 4 years is a rather long period of time until they showed their true colours.

Cons

Mr Tobias Ragge himself made 25 out of a team of 30 people redundant within a couple of hours. No warning, no staff meeting, no letters, nothing. He flew in the morning from Germany, just to sack people in our office. I had gone into to work at 9am and by 12noon I was jobless. I was called into a meeting room with Tobias Ragge who 4 years earlier told me during my interview with him in the Cologne office, what a great asset I would be for HRS because of my hotel experience background. After the interview, he hired me, and 4 years later I was no longer good and my future was compromised because he hadn't managed his company finances correctly... Not only, he sacked me and others within a matter of minutes but he simply didn't care about following the legal process or hearing any concerns from affected employees. Totally ruthless.

Pros

Work flexibility, given autonomy, flat organisation

Cons

Company loves to create manufactured sales people - role playing tests constantly even amongst senior management. Mds and senior level account managers role play before everyone in the company. it’s a joke. Treated like kids. Communication gaps between Hq and local offices. It is essentially a global SME, high turnover rate due to extreme stress culture. Sales targets ridiculous and set top down. KPIs change throughout the year. Essentially, nothing but a family run company, far from being a global firm. Still a Long way to go in terms of organisation structure compared to the other players in the industry. Very German company, with top management spewing vulgarities at staff, very horrific culture.
