Pros

- Good salary - Nice office - Benefits - Few nice people

Cons

I hesitated a lot writing a review about Hackett, given how long ago I worked there. But in the end I decided that I should be able to give my perspective anyway. - I felt uncomfortable working there. I seriously wished I had paid very close attention to the Director when he told me during the interview, that they were struggling with keeping employees in that particular role. This was a huge red flag I made the mistake to ignore. I was so in love with the idea of working at a well-known company, I never stopped to wonder why those previous employees didn't want to work at a 'well-known company'. The job position itself was a nightmare, because of the manager. Immediately, in my first few days working in-office, I was yelled at multiple times. - For example, she told me to click on something, and when she realised it was a mistake, proceeded to yell at me with: "NO!! why would you do that?!". Very honestly, I rolled my eyes at her. - Another time was when she wanted to show me something on her laptop. I couldn't see from that distance, so I put my glasses on. This prompted the manager to roll her eyes and overreact with her body. I looked at her surprised, and she responded by yelling: "oh no, no, no. I just want to show you something quickly! There's no need for all that!". Pardon? There is no need for me to see? - I was also given the task of doing something by myself for the very first time. I made a mistake, but I hadn't even sent the final thing yet. Because it was my first time, I felt that it was only decent for me to ask my manager to check beforehand. She yelled at me, like she had been holding back resentment. It was beyond, beyond embarrassing being yelled in that environment, where everyone is quietly doing their job. She only stopped when she saw another employee approaching to help me out by giving me a manual. She went quiet, turned to me, and with the biggest smile on her face said: "let's do it together!!". As if she hadn't been yelling at me, literally just a few seconds ago. I dreaded going to the office everyday. I cried my eyes out everyday, throughout my time at this company. My anxiety was through the roof, and I deeply regretted leaving my previous company for that job role. The worst decision I made was ignoring the red flags and my gut feeling. The best decision I made was to find something else to do and leave that environment.

Pros

Nice colleagues, but that’s about it.

Cons

If you’re a woman you won’t get anywhere there. It’s a massive boy’s club where men who been in the company for long time rule. HR doesn’t take complaints seriously. Pay is bad. There is no such thing as diversity and inclusion at Hackett.
