I worked at HedgeServ full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Easy to understand systems
    Colleagues always helpful
Year on year salary increases to keep in line with market

    Cons

    No overtime
    Work life balance
Some teams can be horrible to work on depending on the director in charge

    Advice to Management

Review the directors performance better. If staff on one team are constantly leaving and other teams there is no movement, then there is usually a good reason why

I have been working at HedgeServ full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Central Locations in Dublin.
    Young, mostly Friendly staff.
    Challenging work.
    Casual attire.
There are alot of very smart people will great techincal ability and knowledge. The scope to learn more is endless.
In the most part if you are good at what you do it will be recognised and you will be rewarded. My salary has increased 50% in my 3 years with company.
Ability to be able to work from home is great.
Very little bureaucratic red tape comapred to other companies I have worked in.

    Cons

In general I don't think the majority of staff feel appreciated by management. There are signs this is getting better but there is definitely room for improvement. It's more the little things that are appreciated by staff, as example more than 2 fruit deliverys a week. The Sport's and Social committee do seem to be making a effort to improve this over the past year in fairness.

The kitchen area's are small, it'd be good to have more seating room so more people could have lunch away from their desks. The Krakow office has a great space as an example.

Staff turnover could be better this is an issue in funds in general.

Management also have a fear of losing people and try their utmost to keep them when the person isn't necessarliy worth the extra outlay. There are more than enough good people capable of stepping up and replacing that person.

Benefits were better in other funds companies that I have worked in.

    Advice to Management

More investment in your staff and their morale.

I worked at HedgeServ full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great opportunity to learn the industry

    Cons

Clear favoritism of senior management, poor pay, extremely long hours, lack of transparency, lack of trust, too process orientated and no room for thinking outside the box, lack of appreciation for staff, very quick to jump on a mistake but would never compliment good work, the high turnover speaks for itself!!

    Advice to Management

    show your staff some appreciation
