The environment is collaborative and open, completely ego-less which is extremely refreshing. You work alongside the Senior Management team on a daily basis. There is a strong emphasis on the Work/Life balance in the office with fun social events occurring weekly as well as Mental Health advocates always available for a conversation. Great perks with massive discounts on boxes as well as a gym membership or... private health care. Highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to work in a fun, yet challenging and rewarding company!

Cons

It would be great if the social events, as well as learning events, were spread out more throughout the week so everyone could attend. I would love to see more events that involve mixing the teams up so you meet people in different roles!

Pros

Opportunities to develop your career, with exposure to multiple areas of the business. Excellent employee benefits with more being added all the time. A culture that really values its employees and their development. High level of responsibility from day 1.

For me, I just think the workplace culture is spot on. There's so many cool activities, free food benefits, classes etc available in the office. Everyone is so chilled and the atmosphere here is spot on! My manager is great too - super understanding and really supportive.

At the moment, you have to choose between private health care or a free gym membership - it would be great if we could have both!

Huge savings for your groceries for quality food - Free breakfast, and free freshly cooked meals (not guaranteed but happens often enough!!!), yoga classes, great Friday drinks, monthly events and big parties - You will be enjoying one of the coolest office spaces to work in! Really helps jig your creativity - super rustic and cool!! Kudos to all who designed and is keeping this vibe going on - Flexible working - flexible working times for all

Rather more points to consider: - HelloFresh is in a scaling up phase at the moment so there may be a large number of new processes being implemented and in this transitional time you will need the ability to handle and be accountable for many things. It's a great opportunity to test your organizational and time managing skills for people who seek to grow - There is a number of restructuring that occurs as the... company is growing so agility is required and may not be for all who are after the same old thing every day - Working from home - a tough one (for both employee and employer) as this almost works against one of HF's DNA/values of working and being in the office to solve problems quicker, however there still needs more openness in this - HelloFresh is a global brand and has many locations around the world, would be good to share these international experiences/opportunities with current employees

Advice to Management

HelloFresh must always remember what made it special from the very beginning, with the immense scaling up it really needs to be mindful of how it will grow and continue to be #1 for not only the customers but most importantly their employees

1. They believe in and encourage a Growth Mindset. This has led to me taking on challenges before I knew the exact answer but learning and adapting along the way. I’m grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had to show not just others, but myself, exactly what I’m capable of! 2. My manager. I’d say I have one if the best managers out there! He’s been a great coach throughout our time working together. He has... nailed the balance between supporting my new part-time hours pattern (since becoming a mum) and continuing to give me challenging opportunities for my development and to contribute to our success as a business. 3. The discount code. A whooping 70% off HelloFresh boxes means I’ve spent around £15 on evening meals for the week since joining (nearly 4 years ago!). Plus there’s the added bonus now of being able to easily introduce my daughter to a variety of food, flavours and always fresh food. 4. The grazing table. The food perks don’t stop there! Obviously our wonderful chefs are busy developing new and tweaking old recipes everyday. Where does the food go? On the grazing table of course, free for all to help ourselves throughout the day. A foodies heaven. 5. The People. HelloFresh believe that we should all become an expert in our field, which means the office is full of top talent! I’m inspired everyday by my colleagues around me whether that be in a meeting or casual chat at the lunch table. Plus we always have a giggle and no one takes themselves too seriously so I always feel comfortable to be myself.

What could make HelloFresh better? I believe in continuous evolution - learning never stops! So while some areas of HelloFresh are not perfection all of the time, as long as I can see effort made to explore the imperfections and genuine intentions of improvement, then these don’t impact my working life in a negative way. I’ve been fortunate to see the UK team grow from a start up phase to scale up and attention... on these areas of imperfection have steadily increased and have shown great results. For example, the introduction of flexible hours to improve work-life balance, a Talent Development team to support professional development and tackling more sensitive issues such as promotions and pay to be ever more transparent.

Advice to Management

Touched on above, never get complacent as we continue to evolve, never let us forget our mission and why we've all joined HelloFresh in the first place, keep it real.
