Pros

Some of the amazing people you will meet across the company. The collaboration between departments is solid and a good unity between sales and marketing is being established. Free lunch on Fridays which you may need based on the salary.

Cons

Not inclusive - hr is doing a great job at attaining diversity but the culture here will not retain it. Disparate treatment from management ultimately drove my exit. Toxic leadership - experiences of subtle retaliation after expressing my concerns in which upper and lower management decided to create their own narratives to. Anything to save the perception of the company as I’ve learned this is most valuable to them. I am grateful as this helped me finalize my great decision of leaving.

I am sorry to read and hear that your experience at HexArmor was not altogether positive. You mentioned positive experiences with amazing people and good collaboration between departments, but negative experiences with management and inclusion. As I read through your concerns, I wish that we could have discussed and addressed while you were at the company to make your work experience at HexArmor better. As a company, we strive to create a workforce and culture that’s diverse in people and ideas, knowing that it makes us stronger. It’s clear from your post that your particular experience didn’t reach these ideals. We take diversity very seriously and work to create an inclusive environment every day. We value all feedback and will use yours constructively to further that mission. I hope that you find a company and job you truly enjoy, and we wish you all success.

Pros

you learn to use tools like Salesforce.com and marketo. some people are good co-workers. summer Fridays and company lunches every other week. I can think of no other "pros" of working here unless you only plan on staying a short time.

Cons

pay is low and not competitive. there is NO opportunity for growth here. certain people are favored and given better treatment and not held to the same standard. no clear direction and any disagreements among management is apparent to lower level employees. there is a tendency toward micromanagement and it seems that managers are encouraged to have people under a microscope. If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.....and that is basically all you have left there as sales reps now.

It’s always disappointing to read a negative review on Glassdoor, especially from an employee who has worked here over three years. It sounds like your experience at least at the end was negative, and I am sorry that you left feeling this way. I wanted to address some of your concerns, as I don’t believe they reflect the company that we are or what we are striving to be. You cited frustration on career growth and opportunities, and compensation that meets your needs. While I don’t know your unique goals and desires, I would share that we strive to create an employee framework for job satisfaction, professional development and career growth. That is why we have managers sit down with their employees and talk about their Individual Development Plan. In Sales we have employees who desire to move into Regional Sales Manager positions, Key Accounts, Marketing, and Distribution, and I have seen people move and grow in all of these different directions. For pay we look at each job and benchmark where we are in the market, and where we want to be positioned. We try to be transparent on the pay ranges for different positions so that employees can use that as a factor in where they want to grow their careers. I wish that we could have discussed this further as it may have helped make your work experience at HexArmor better. Nevertheless, I hope that you have found a job and company that makes you truly happy, and I wish you the best.

Pros

Coworkers are great and all like minded people. Company events are fun and you can make a lot of money in sales.

Cons

Upper management is clueless. They've been with the company so long they've just been grandfathered in. Base pay is low. Culture used to be so great here but as they've grown heyve forgtotten what made this place so great to begin with:
