Lets we start with the fact that 0 reps in NA have hit their numbers in the last 2 years (most under 30% or less to goal) all while ignoring the fact that is a fundamental leadership GTM failure of epic proportion.
HiveMQ seems interested in mostly one thing, marketing, marketing, marketing. Fly all over the globe, wave at people, give the appearance that we are a thriving growing organization, work hard to create the illusion so the valuation goes up. At no point in time does Sr. leadership show the appetite to grow a true sustainable business by putting focus on how MQTT is procured and consumed by customers. They have landed a couple of enterprise customers and now they believe they can use that to continue to sell the illusion that this is somehow a real company with real value.
The challenge that most people have at HiveMQ is they know the leadership that C&D have brought in know that HiveMQ is nothing more than a get rich quick scheme and that leadership is just trying to hold on long enough to cash in on any equity that they have received.
Never will C&D take a look in the mirror and point the finger at themselves, their constant excuse is "we've never done this before, and we're just a startup" (a 10 year + old startup).
The poor treatment of employees is something else that needs to be stressed. Poor treatment is done but it is done with a smile on their face so they believe that somehow there is nothing wrong with the way they treat employees. Feedback from employees is viewed as something that needs to be snuffed out and "how dare the peasants give us any advice".
Those who read this likely wont be swayed if you are interviewing with them because all that matters to most individuals is just getting the job. I however felt compelled to say something because deciding to come and work for any organization these days can be a dangerous choice as one low quality employer can set your career back years.
