    I worked at Holiday Inn Express full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - i worked here for a year and 2 months and the reception team were all lovely to work with - previous managers fired by the owners were exceptional but fighting a hard battle against the owners lack of expenditure

    Cons

    - the owners do not care about the employees or the status of the hotel they only care about saving money and because of this the hotel consistently receives bad reviews as it needs a refurbishment asap - when being bullied at work the owners will not fire the manager - the owners like to play the blame game although have never personally worked in a hotel and so do not quite understand the problems faced every shift - managers who help the hotel will be fired for going against the owners wishes - bare minimum wage absolutely no overtime paid, do not get pay and a half for working christmas - no one cares about you, you are just a number to them and i implore you not to work for this hotel - will have the smallest team possible and will over work you, every day of the week if they need to, still on minimum wage and then when you call in sick from exhaustion they will force you to come in anyway as no one can cover for you
