So many rounds of layoffs in a year for such a small company. The company strategy is always changing and everything feels desperate. The internal politics are a lot to navigate and sometimes you just want to do your job but can't.
Leadership is horrendous at managing the financials of the company. 2 layoffs in less than six months. NOT transparent with the health of the business. There’s a very tight group in leadership. What’s extremely unethical and distasteful is that they will keep certain individuals on payroll and assist them to find a new job while others get laid off.
Hone is trying to do something good in the world. Everyone who works there is trying to make the world a better place by making learning accessible to all.
Cons
Inexperience, immaturity, and large egos have led to poor decisions being made. Recruiting is done aggressively and with a recent layoff many long term employees, employees who just started (after leaving more stable jobs), and older employees were let go. Little respect for boundaries and expectations to work excessive hours leads to a stressful environment.
