      Perfidious and Cynical Upper Management

      Pros

      I got to make a positive difference in the lives of the residents I helped to support as well as the support coaches I managed.

      Cons

      There was a toxic culture of deception, gamesmanship, and cynical manipulation of workers' feelings in order to avoid providing quality raises and to keep costs as low as possible. Staff were all overworked, and upper management were continuously looking for reasons to write staff up and avoided providing the highest quality care possible for the money and resources available, focusing instead on marketing opportunities for the company as a whole. The turnover rate got worse and worse and upper management were not interested in pursuing real solutions.

      A Great Concept, Terrible Execution

      Pros

      The campers are the only thing that make this job worthwile. Getting to know them and learning how to take care of people was the only positive takeaway.

      Cons

      This place has a toxic and borderline abusive culture, complete with nepotism and favoritism. Pay is abysmal for lower-level employees, especially considering the amount of work you're expected to perform. Management will talk about you behind your back if you're not a part of their circle. It's very sad, becuase what they're trying to do is great for the community, but they treat certain employees with disdain.

      Benefits are great, but they are only hiring for p/t. What they stand for is awesome.

      Cons

      If you are not in the right "Circle" you won't advance or they will take advantage of you. Directors are very 2 faced.
