Kind owners, poor management

Pros

-Remote -Average salary (the salaries are unique based on location as the company is remote and distributed with many countries represented) -Some schedule flexibility

Cons

-Very poor middle management (abusive language, bullying, sexual innuendo, etc...) -Micromanagement (the product they sell enables micromanagement, so it's tough to get away from this reality) -Constant change (even though the company has been around for quite some time they still pivot often as a startup would. Not a terrible issue, just something to be aware of) -All employees are legally viewed as contractors (and can be let go at any time) but you are treated as full-time employees in terms of work expectations.

Pros

They seem nice and helpful at the beginning of the conversation in the interview then they get sketchy and insist you trust them. Luckily I didn't get too involved just had an interview that lasted about 4 hrs and they convinced me to give personal info. My mistake entirely. I was excited about getting a good job that paid well.

Cons

The check they sent me to buy their equipment was fraudulent so as soon as possible I shut down my bank accounts and they are currently being investigated. Luckily they didn't take anything but just the fact that it was a fraudulent check makes me sick to my stomach

Hi there, Unfortunately, I believe you didn't have an interview with Hubstaff (or were hired by us). Instead, this is likely someone trying to impersonate Hubstaff to steal personal details under the pretext of offering employment. This is a scammer committing a crime and using us as a scapegoat. We are working towards understanding how to prevent these situations permanently. Hubstaff does not ask for the bank account information of our professionals. As a result, we have never sent checks to buy equipment or pay a professional. We don't do interviews of 4 hrs. Our process is much more complex (3-4 stages, including a technical interview, and the last interview is with our CEO - Jared Brown; each interview has a structure of 45mins - 1hr). All our job offers are displayed on our Careers page. In addition, if you want to apply for one of our opportunities, please visit our page here: https://hubstaff.com/jobs. Please don't apply via other platforms and do not provide any of your personal information. Also, please confirm the email follows a pattern similar to name@hubstaff.com. Please, with regards to your data's safety, do not maintain contact with that person or reveal any personal information. Best regards, Cristina HR Coordinator at Hubstaff
