Pros
Getting an internship with the Hudson Institute is fairly easy. Submit your cover letter and CV directly to a senior fellow and they will respond almost immediately if they feel you have a valuable skill to offer. There is no phone or in-person interview which makes a Hudson Institute internship ideal if you're desperate to put something prestigious on your resume.
Cons
Senior fellows make it absolutely clear that they do not want to interact with their interns on any level. Non-resident interns (those who conduct internet based research) are discouraged from coming to the office. Thorough research is met with curt replies and there is relatively little guidance from Senior fellows.
