Some cons of working here are that there is no teacher and academic support. Conditions that force the staff to band together are the lack of administration and management. The school calendar is not concrete and there are often changes made without staff being notified. There is the constant threat of being fired, you are constantly lied to about the smallest to biggest things. You are treated as an unintelligent individual when it comes to management, if you express your concerns or feelings you may be subject to being scrutinized. Although there are annual pay raises, it may or may not be reflected in your check. Paychecks are a lot of the times short of the correct amount. There is no special education support or coordinator, nurse, full staff of content teachers, gym or physical education course, arts or extra curricular activities, or social worker. The environment just becomes very stressful when subjected to these conditions daily for 9-10 hours.
