Pros
The office staff are genuinely the nicest people ever. Everyone is keen, capable and lovely. This is however exclusive to the more junior people in the office. The theory behind the product works. It is effective and has the potential to be brilliant. Customers genuinely feel it adds value to their business. As a result, it gets embedded and stays embedded. The potential for long term customer relationships is immense.
Cons
No leadership. The leadership team are the wrong group of individuals. They should not be in the roles they are. They are merely ‘yes’ people who are fearful of any confrontation. They will not challenge the CEO even when his opinions & decisions are poor. They are more interested in building their own empires even when it is to the detriment of the business. They are not leaders. The more senior individuals are shockingly arrogant & have some of the biggest ego’s I have ever known in business. The male dominated/ sexist culture contributes to this. My gosh, I never want to work with such nasty, egotistical, narcissistic individuals ever again!! ‘Manterrupting’ has never been more accurate than when in a meeting with these individuals! Tantrums tantrums tantrums?! The last time I have seen this many tantrums was when I visited my child’s nursery when she was 2! Shouting, swearing, throwing things???!!!Since when is this even acceptable behaviour for a child least in a work environment? Why is it allowed & tolerated? When will someone speak up?? Perhaps the fear of having a torrent of verbal abuse coming your way is too much of a deterrent to say anything? Shocking!!!! Which leads me to my final point. Fear! I never want to work in an environment where so many people literally live in fear everyday! What ever happened to employing people & trusting them to do their job. Trust drives performance. Fear hinders it.
