    Pros

    People - always supportive and friendly Lots of career opportunities across Informa Colleague-led networks to be involved in Increased focus on sustainability across the business Lots of change which is exciting if you like that!

    Benefits package needs a little modernising Pace is fast - it needs to be embraced!

    Pros

    If you're looking for 'just a job' and to be treated like dirt then this is the place for you. Keep your head down, don't make waves, and you will go far just like the other clueless people in management.

    Cons

    Management! The biggest con by far. Promoting people based on their length of service has lead to bullies and fools in senior roles. The hierarchy in the company is beyond a joke, full of people that are too scared of new comers showing them up so they go out of their way to put them down and set them up to fail.

    Pros

    Evolving culture and feeling of belonging. Our colleague network is a friendly and supportive one. People are always willing to help you when needed. You don't feel alone in your role. New Wellbeing initiatives are being introduced - shorter meeting times to help us manage our calendars, No meeting Fridays and dedicated personal development time. New balanced working guidelines - As colleagues we are able to determine the balance between working in the office and home. Core office hours are flexible but tend to be between 10am - 3pm. Learning and development opportunities including accredited courses and qualifications, most recently these have been in Product Management, People Leadership and Data.

    Cons

    The business could have a more competitive benefits package including paid time off for maternity/paternity/adoption etc leave. However the business is very flexible with time off requests that are not related to annual leave and they are very flexible with working hours during a working week. If you need to flex your hours you can do.

    Pros

    Culture is coming to life - the empowerment and promise of development is starting to show with great balanced working, focus on wellbeing like no meeting Fridays, investment in development and everyone is superfriendly

    Cons

    Its not for everyone, you have to want to play your part

    Interesting clients Talented analysts and sales teams

    Cons

    Poor management Lazy people No longer focussed on research clients Multiple management levels with very little power and poor management skills. There’s no clear direction in place, everyone seems to be doing nothing and have no control or oversight. Research managers and directors can be insecure bullies who do not focus on employee development but their own status only and spend time belittling all those around them and passing blame on to others. You walk by areas in the office where managers are screaming at their team. Attrition rates are shocking as the most talented have exited this sinking ship. Analysts left in the business are those that have a self inflated view of themselves yet lack ambition, or just waiting to be made redundant.

    Work from home - this is about it

    Cons

    0 progression, 0 salary increases, 0 help, 0 development, 0 training, 0 reasons to join Worked for 4 years in a small team, no change in job or progression, goal posts constantly moving, pay rises for some but not others. Thoroughly unpleasant place to work which will suck the life out of you. This many people leaving negative reviews can't all be wrong.

    Pros

    People: It is a very large company and therefore so many people at different stages of their life. So there is someone for everyone and that makes working here easy Pay: If things are going well, you get paid. not as much as the old set up but salaries can increase. Career progression: If you are liked, you will progress rapidly. Autonomy: only in some divisions I will add. other divisions and positions are very strictly managed, with no room for autonomy. Learning the rope: as a huge company there was time to learn the ropes. however this is also a bad thing.

    Cons

    People: So many small groups and for this it makes the company feel impenetrable sometimes. The best thing i can compare it to is like being on London underground, so many people around you but you feel alone. Pay: This is only good when things are going well. remember this is an events company review, so I dont have to go into detail about how your pay will look if you get a bad performing event. because the pay structure changed you are not earning as much anymore which makes the above even worse for your wallet. Career progression: As I said - IF YOU ARE LIKED. if not this can be a very hard company to progress in. You will feel like people just want you out the door or to stay in the same position. Autonomy: If you are not in the right division, with the right manager, right people - There is no autonomy. I saw most people work, work, work - the conversations were so eerily similar you could not tell if they were on the phone to a person or voicemail Learning the ropes: There is no training just learn on the job and lets listen back to your call and critique how bad/good you were. This doesn't leave much growth in peoples abilities. Therefore there always seems to be some sort of stagnation especially in under performing teams.

    Pros

    Office spaces are nice to work from

    Cons

    No progression in company and no clarity on roles. So many different titles but responsibilities and experience varies. Promotions are based on tenure only so we lose valuable employees or see a lack of morale. Really takes advantage of hard work and dedication. No recognition for people of colour, don’t even dare to raise issues or ask for help. We’re meant to be grateful with no goals or determination.

    Pros

    Opportunity to travel, good colleagues, reasonable pay once you have been there for a few years and excellent central London location

    Cons

    Short-term strategy, ineffective management, little consideration to employee rewards, pay rises almost entirely offered when notice handed in as opposed for reward for good work, promotions offered to those who have been there the longest not those who produce the best work, no idea about digital, jump on buzzwords as opposed to consider long-term trends, a lot of in jokes and cliques, no idea how to evolve past digital events - current approach to digital looks ridiculous
