      Loved working at Inkling ~ one of the best jobs (with some reservations)

      Pros

      Working at Inkling was a great experience: a smart and considerate staff, excellent start-up amenities, a wonderful & innovative product The CEO is present and approachable. He didn't hide himself in an elite office, he sat in the open floor plan with the rest of us. The product is very compelling: Inkling's digital reading app and the Habitat publishing platform—both disruptive innovations. They used to have an "extra credit" project period each year that was pretty fun. Exciting and bonded coworkers. Catered lunches brought everyone together each day.

      Cons

      Management made some poor decisions that led to a loss of staff. Individual opinion/product recommendations are often overlooked to the detriment of the company. Some favoritism was displayed (for not always the best reasons), resulting in staff being matched improperly to lead job roles--causing loss of forward motion in the organization and the product development.

      Great Company - Not so Great CEO

      Pros

      The people are amazing and some of the smartest people I have ever worked with. It’s unfortunate many of those employees are leaving or considering leaving due to recent CEO change.

      Cons

      The new CEO (Jeff Carr) is disconnected from team and running great employees off with his abrasive narcissistic approach to leadership.
