Company has no loyalty

Pros

Coming in the door as a new employee is great for about 3 months.

Cons

Doesn't believe in the managers or employees...they believe if you have the capacity then do the work. This belief comes from leadership. Leadership President/CEO has no tact and that same attitude oozes through out the company. Performance reviews are a joke. They/Leadership really thinks people are expendable. Loyalty means absolutely nothing at this company. They would rather hire outside and overpay. HR sucks!

Pros

- ICG attempts to address some needs that the reinsurance industry seems to be ignoring - There are great ideas, without mention to implementation - Decently competitive compensation

Cons

- Implementation of products shoddy, at best - Ad-hoc fixes become immortalized without revisiting - Terrible work-life balance; leaving any time before 7 pm is taboo and often "joked" about as being a "half day" - Performance reviews indicate that management does not pay much attention to the day-to-day - Narrow experience of "lifers" leads to frequent self-declared level of proficiency in skills

Worst Company to work with

Pros

You will be wasting your time on meetings, a lot of meetings. Your skill set will be questioned (read: criticized) by senior management at almost every opportunity if you don't know the answer right away - in front of the whole team at times.

Cons

Can't think of one for IT. The team has some skilled people they are just not allowed to perform as well as they can.
