Pros

Absolutely no Pros at all.

Cons

1) No procedures. It is learn as you go. 2) Do not expect any of the benefits they promise on day 1. Some take over a year to get. 3) The owner, David Chazin, is neurotic and overreacts to everything without looking at the facts. If that was not bad enough, he constantly bad mouths the people that work for him. The worst experience was sitting at a staff meeting and out of the blue, he starts naming people he wants to fire next with a smile on his face. That day, he showed everyone that he could care less about other people’s wellbeing. It also explains the high turnover. Anyone considering working for this man needs to realize that there is a good chance you will get fired.

Pros

As with any career, it all starts with the team - a great group of people and very well run. Work ethic, culture, and care for clients all starts at the top, and there's a reason the Managing Partner wins Planner of the Year every year for the broker-dealer. I've seen multiple members of the team go way beyond what someone would typically do in order to provide the best care for their clients. More importantly, the team has grown organically, with team members growing into greater responsibility. I've seen multiple people start off as regular administrative assistants who expanded that role into running their own client meetings and running a team responsible for all back office operations. The team is very well trained and really knows their stuff.

Cons

Would not recommend Insight for someone looking to coast - they're the busiest team in the B/D's office and set a high standard. Only other concern is the flip side to increasing responsibility - sometimes roles shift a bit, as it should with any growing business.

Pros

- Insight gives employees the opportunity to learn, grow, and expand their role beyond their job title. - Everyone in the company is very friendly, hard working, and willing to share their knowledge. - Insight recently moved into a new office and provides employees with a gourmet coffee machine, a full fridge and pantry of drinks and snacks, and a comfy break area with a tv. - Management is generally flexible and able to accommodate personal schedules and work-life balance. - Effort is made to make the office fun, decorative, warm, and even homey. - Hard work and achievements are recognized and often rewarded. - The office is closed on stock market holidays.

Cons

- Not as many vacation or sick days as some companies.
