Pros

The customer service representatives are great to work with! Remote work is a plus.

Cons

The customer service management is extremely toxic but gets away with bullying and micromanaging the entire team through playing politics. CS Management set up a system that screenshots everyone every 3 minutes and I get so paranoid about stepping away to fill my water or go to the washroom. This is so hypocritical because CS management is always going on breaks and vacations and turning down any of the team’s requests for customer support escalations. CS Management’s only skill is taking credit for everyone’s work. CS Management questions why you are not working when you could have been on a bathroom break and it feels like an extreme invasion of privacy and is very stressful. The turnover rate is so high due to the customer service teams poor management yet CS management blames low compensation instead of taking responsibility for their lack of leadership and professionalism. Several employees quit because of CS managements bullying but are too scared to say anything in fear of retaliation. CS management constantly violates employee confidentiality by gossiping about team members and their personal/medical records in social settings. CS management constantly criticizes and bad mouths other teams/team managers including the founder Derek for their incompetence (ex: CS management always says others don’t deserve their job/compensation compared to CS management. Until the leadership acknowledges that the customer service management behaviour is unacceptable and inappropriate (and fires them), this will never be a healthy place to work. P.S. From past experience and observations, they will likely deny and deflect anything mentioned here to avoid responsibility.
