Interesting work, ability to apply knowledge rather than paper-push, not toxic work environment, interesting people to work with.

Cons

The pay is uncompetitive and even low following years of no to maximum 2% pay rise. No opportunity for professional development, growth or promotion. All effort is placed on simply keeping the Institute open.

Smart, focused people from around the world who are high-level thinkers and strategists. Lots of opportunity to test theories and applications around the world.

Cons

Long, snowy winters. Only support staff have the possibility of making a long-term career here. Officers' contracts are for a few years and usually, officers are not allowed to remain beyond that time frame.
